1/2 Marathon Here I Come...

So This is my second week training for the marathon in Salt Lake City in April, is this really my motivation to loose the baby weight. What was I thinking!!! Well I guess it's not all that bad, I do feel so much more energy, eating so much healthier, I'm happier and for the first time in a long time I actually want to exercise... So I am glad I'm doing this. The schedule is pretty trecherous, mainly b/c of the hills I live on. We just did a new route today b/c it was 4 miles instead of 3 and I really liked it b/c the hills were spread out more and we ran half of it this time now that I feel stronger and it felt really good! I am not sure how or what happened since I have always HATED to run but for some reason this feels good, hey maybe it's not bad to run I guess I've had it wrong in my mind all these years, hhmmm imagine that! And only eating 1200 calories a day holy hannah it's HARD! But I need to loose weight quickly for our trip to Tahiti next week, gotta look good for my adorable husband in my swim suit of course! But I also need to loose this baby weight I finally feel the motivation and I hope I can continue this in Tahiti I know it will be hard but as long as I dedicate 30 min a day I should be okay. I'm just glad I have my sister here to do it with me and to help me get back into it fully once I get home! Thanks Sis, your the best!

Go you guys are your half marathon! I am totally thinking the same thing...run and lose some baby weight! Kim and I have started running. We want to do a half marathon but there is one in March here but we wont be ready. We'll see. I ran a 1/2 4 years ago and followed "Hal Higdon's" training. It was super good. You can find it online if you need something to tell you what to run each day. Worked for me. Good luck! :) Oh and have fun in Tahiti

So much fun! Look at you go! So fun you are becoming a runner. I am not the biggest fan of cardio either. It just kills me. I have to admit that if the situation is right. . .If you have a fun friend and the weather is nice there is nothing like a good run. :) Good luck! Can't wait to see pictures of tahiti. :)

Hal Higdon is exactly what we're following--it's great to here other's have used it and it worked for them.

I've never been this sore--even during high school sports!!! And it feels so good. Jaimee is kicking my butt, but I don't care. I feel great. She'll look amazing in her bathing suit next week.

Good for you! I LOVE (loathe?) running. It's a love-hate thing. I have to keep myself motivated to keep going. I always know that literally the first mile and a half is the hardest. Running is the ONLY WAY I lost my baby weight...way to go.

Make sure you have good shoes! If there is one thing I learned from dating a boy who owned a shoe store for a ton of years, it's to treat your feet right...they need to carry you for lots more years. Awesome job. Run on!
