TAHITI, WHAT AN ADVENTURE...

Well we're back! It was a very long and venterous journey and we had such a fabulous time! It may be long but bare with me... We flew to the island Tahiti in the city of Papette. Had quite a layover there trying to get over to the island of Moorea! Our plane was cancelled due to as they put it "it was broken"! Um yah I think we'll wait to take the fairy ride over instead of being on a "broken" plane!
This is our first bungalow on Moorea at the Intercontinental Resort and Spa. The first thing Brian did once we arrived at our bungalow was get into the water for some much needed snorkeling off our deck! There was so much beautiful coral just below our deck so there was awesome snorkeling there and out in the lagoon, some of the best snorkeling we've had! It was a very nice resort and it had dolphins there in the resort. The dolphin center is just in the middle of where you walk to the entertainment areas from our bungalow, so needless to say we got to walk past it everytime we went to and from our bungalow what a treat especially for me if anyone knows me well they know how I feel about dolphins! Best part of that island for me..
We also did a lot more fun adventerous things while on that island. We did a 4x4 tour up into the mountains and around part of the island. So gorgious up there and beautiful views!
We saw a pineapple farm, beautiful tropical flowers, wild hogs, high mountains, view of the two bay's on the island and the funniest and nicest tour guide of all times, I Tom!! He had a tattoo on his arm that said I Tom, long story but that's my new nickname from my husband I've been told! It's pretty funny! That evening we got a couple's massage at the spa there and that was very nice and relaxing except it was so hot there and the air conditioner in the bungalow didn't do the job all that well!

Then on to the next day... We got up early and headed out for our long 6 hr boat tour, full of adventures all in one tour. First we went swimming with Sharks! Yeah me, Jaimee, swimming with SHARKS...They are black tip sharks and they are reef sharks that only really get to about 4-5 feet long. When your swimming right beside it let me tell you that is BIG and scary. But after a few minutes of them swimming right towards you and quickly turning away from you and realizing they don't care about you they just care about food then you get pretty brave and enjoy the amazing memories that are being made. The tour guides were the one's feeding the sharks us commoner's ;) just watched and swam which I was TOTALLY fine with! Generally they are suppose to be pretty tame but sometimes could be dangerous too we've been told. (Sorry no photos of this we didn't have a waterproof camera and in all the excitement and anticipation of getting in with sharks we didn't have camera on our mind!) So then we were off to swim with Sting Rays! The water was shallower and we could stand in the water so we were able to brave taking pictures with the camera! Let me tell you those things are freaky! But they are so nice you wouldn't believe it after knowing Steve Irwin died from one but yes very cool but I just couldn't relax with them b/c every second they were coming up from behind swimming around my back and would catch me off guard and it freaked me out so the pictures don't have any good smiles pretty much pure freakin out faces on them! But it was an awesome experience and we loved it! Then they took us to a private island and fed us lunch and we did some snorkeling that was really nice and relaxing until I got called up to help demonstrate there food making process which was pretty embaressing since I was in my bakini and nothing over it stirring food, but they were all pretty much drunk anyway so who cares right! It was fun...
So my husband, love him, but he is such a boy! We spotted a black tip shark below our deck of the bungalow one evening and so what does he have to do, well buy string, raw meat and dangle it down to attract even a bigger black tip shark! Which he did and had a blast doing. It was cute, like watching a little kid! At first there was a smaller and medium sized one they ran off with the first of two steaks. So he restrung the last steak and here come's a really BIG shark probably 3 or 4 feet long, big to me ok! Anyway it was really cool to watch it stare down and swim around the meat looking for the perfect opportunity to attack! Well it found it and with one attack it took the whole thing string and all! Even though it went by so fast it was a big addrinalin boost for Brian he was so excited! That was probably his favorite part of the whole trip! Men, so easy to please, well most the time;)
So now we are taking a plane to Bora Bora for 3 nights! From the airport you have to take a boat to your resort. The way the island is there's no way to get to the airport by car it's on a seperate strip of land, same with our Resort. Very secluded and quiet, good thing we saved our relaxing time for Bora Bora! It was a beautiful Resort and the room was to die for! It was newly built only 1 yr and a half ago. The big thing there is that they built a air conditioning system that goes down into the deep part of the sea and it uses the cold sea water as the energy for the air conditioning there so it was nice and cool in our bungalow there all the time, it was fabulous! Here are a couple pic's of the gorgious bungalow.

The bed overlooked a huge window and you could see the ocean outside-gorgious, the bathroom had a very relaxing I must say tub that you could be overlooking the beautiful ocean while sitting in it and we had a huge deck with our own private dock! It also had a shower spray on it to rinse off with but well my husband decided to play water fight with it, very fun! Now one of the best memories I am taking from this bungalow is laying in bed with my hunny laughing my butt off to The Office! Brian now has me addictid to that show with him but it's nice b/c we would just laugh together at the show and mimick the funny saying's from it the whole trip, it's the most I've laughed with him in a really long time and it's kind of funny but thanks to The Office it has bonded us in a way I've been missing for a while, thanks Steve Catrell!
So on to the rest of our trip! One of the day's we just laid out at the pool and relaxed half the day, another half of the day we treated ourselves to hours of endless relaxation, serenity, peace and becoming refreshed for coming back to reality at their top rated brand new Spa portion of the resort.. It had a lot of features for you to use while waiting between or after your spa treatments. They had a swim spa, private jacuzzi tubs, leg spa, meditation room w/the view of the ocean, sauna's w/tropical smelling showers that come down on you to cool you off, very very very cold deep sea water tub to get your circulation going and special showers w/tons of differant options of pressure! I could of spent our whole 3 day's there if I could. It was very nice, plus of course the nice treatments Brian and I were very grateful to have as well. They had some entertainment there one night with Tahitian dancer's and music, they sure can dance!
Well that pretty much concludes our trip, the trip home was very long and with much anticipation to see our babies. We missed them dearly and was so excited to come home to them even if we were going to miss the warm weather, palm trees, white sandy beaches and the beautiful ocean! Thank you to our very loving sister and brother-in-law you guys are the best! We felt very safe leaving our babies in your care! We love you and owe you BIG time ;)
