THE BIG 1...SLOW DOWN PLEASE!

I can't believe it's really here...He's 1 years old :( Why do they have to grow up so dang fast?? It seems like yesterday I was complaining about being too fat and pregnant and just wanting him to come out and now I'm complaining that he's growing up way too fast! We are never truly satisfied are we! We had a fun celebration last night for his birthday and it was a lot of fun! It was great to see him eat his very first cupcake and let him go crazy with it..he wasn't sure what to do at first but he finally realized he was getting to eat it and get as messy as he wants! He got so many fun presents, just to name a few...some cute outfits and swim trunks for our summer lovin in Bear Lake time.. puzzells.. stuffed animals.. fun musical toys.. and probably the hit of the night was his big yellow Tonka Truck, I can't believe how much he loves that thing it was so cute, as soon as he spotted it no other present was important at that time he couldn't stop looking at it and wanting to get to it! He is definately his father's son! We had some really good burger's, salads, chips & dip, jello;) and TONS of dessert. C'mon you can't come to a Hirschi bash without chocolate or some kind of dessert...It's a Hirschi trait I've come to realize but it's a GREAT trait to have, well except when your trying to loose weight but other than that it works out wonderfully! All the kids had a blast downstairs with the air hockey table and pool table! I knew those purchases would come in handy one day! And at the end of the night we enjoyed watching video's of Spencer's 1st year of life from the day he was born to now, it's amazing to see the transformation that takes place in one short year...they learn so much...and they just keep continuing to learn and teach you things as well! Thanks Spencer for being such a joy in our life and a blessing! We all love you so much and can't wait to see what you'll teach us and what you'll learn in another year of life!
